Pathological Bad Breath

In order to treat this type of halitosis, first of all, the disease causing bad breath must be diagnosed. However, according to studies, the source of bad breath is usually the discomfort in the mouth. Detection of these intraoral disorders should be done by your dentist. Once the ailment is detected, it must be treated. After this treatment, it is possible to completely get rid of bad breath by paying attention to oral hygiene.

How to Prevent Bad Breath?

  • Uneven surfaces in your mouth where bacteria can adhere should be removed.
  • Teeth should be brushed gently every day without bleeding gums. Teeth should be brushed twice a day.
  • If there is alcohol use, it should not be used. Alcohol alone can cause bad breath.
  • If your teeth have been treated with a bridge, extra attention should be paid to their hygiene.
  • The toothbrush you use should be sparsely bristled, medium hard and small.
  • Toothpastes containing zinc should be used.
  • Antiseptic mouthwash should be used after brushing the teeth. This mouthwash should be used for 1 week, it should be alcohol-free.
  • After tooth brushing, the tongue should be gently brushed from the back to the front.
  • Sugar-free gum can be chewed.
  • A lot of milk should be consumed.
